Terms of Service

1. Provider

2. The service

The AlphaBill web invoicing application (my.alphabill.hu) and API (api.alphabill.hu), through which the user (the User) can issue invoices, advance invoices, pro formas and quotes, maintain client and product records, deliver documents by email or share link, and — for tax documents — fulfil the mandatory data reporting to the Hungarian NAV Online Invoice system.

3. Contract formation, accounts

• The contract is concluded electronically, in Hungarian or English, upon registration and email verification. Accepting these Terms is a condition of registration.
• The User must provide accurate details and keep account credentials (password, two-factor device, API keys) confidential. The User is responsible for all activity performed with the account.
• An account may hold several business workspaces; workspace owners manage the permissions of invited members.

4. Plans, fees, overage

• The Service is available in free and paid plans. Plans may include a monthly document quota and a separate API quota; current pricing is shown on the website and the subscription page.
• Where the plan allows it, documents beyond the quota may be issued for an overage fee at the unit price stated for the plan. Overage is recorded per document at the moment of issuance and is itemised for the User in-app (Subscription tab, Billing log).
• Where the plan does not allow overage, no further documents can be issued after the quota is reached until the plan is upgraded.
• The Provider gives at least 30 days' notice of price changes.

5. Provider's obligations

• Target availability of 99% measured annually; planned maintenance announced in advance where possible.
• Processing of data per the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement; documents kept available for the statutory retention period.
• Security measures (encrypted transport, password hashing, optional two-factor authentication, tenant isolation).

6. User's obligations, prohibited use

• The Service must not be used to issue unlawful or untrue documents, send unsolicited mail (spam), gain unauthorised access to other accounts, or circumvent system security.
• The API must be used within reasonable limits and per the documentation; the Provider may throttle traffic that overloads the system.
• The User is responsible for keeping share links confidential.

7. Liability

• The Provider is not liable for the content of data recorded by the User, the professional correctness of issued documents, or tax consequences arising from them.
• The Provider is not liable for outages caused by circumstances beyond its control (e.g. failure of the NAV system, the email provider, hosting infrastructure, force majeure).
• Except for damage caused intentionally or harming life, limb or health, the Provider's liability is capped at the fees paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the event.

8. Termination

• The User may close the account at any time without cause; no refund is due for the remainder of a paid period unless required by law.
• The Provider may suspend or terminate the account with immediate effect in case of material breach (Section 6).
• After closure, the Provider hands over issued documents in exported form on request. Documents under the statutory accounting retention obligation are preserved until the legal deadline.

9. Complaints, disputes

Complaints: info@alphabill.hu — substantive reply within 30 days. Consumers may turn to the conciliation board competent for their residence. These Terms are governed by Hungarian law; the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Hungarian courts.

10. Amendments

The Provider may amend these Terms unilaterally with at least 15 days' notice published in-app or sent by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
